110% price Protection Guarantee

I researched Carnival's responses to the OP in the thread "110% Price Protection Claim Denied" and contacted a number of managers and such w/in Carnival.

The consolidated company position is that: the 110% Price Protection Guarantee applies ONLY to the situation where you book with Carnival and within 48 hours the Carnival-advertised fare drops; TA-advertised fares are excluded totally.

IMO the wording of the Guarantee suggests that certain specific TA rates are excluded as we would expect (Group Rates, TA rebating....) implying that TA rates not listed are legitimate. Also, the Early Saver Terms & conditions state that ES price protection applies only to Carnival-advertised rates; one would think if that's what Carnival intended for the 110% Price Protection, they would have similar statement "applies only to Carnival-advertised Rates".

The only value of the 110% Price Protection Guarantee is for the case where you book after Final Payment Deadline and Carnival drops the Fare w/in 48 hours, you can get a Price Adjustment.
