waterbugohio Posted February 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2010 Wondered if there is such a thing as a hands private excursion. While I'm sure there are legal issues with helping sail a boat, my husband would love to learn more of the ins and outs and not just sit on the front of the sailboat and catch some rays (that would be me) Does anyone have any recommendations for this, either on St Thomas or even Barbados?? Trying to talk him into our third cruise with friends from CC. Last night while watching a "sailing" movie, he commented that is one excursion he would love to do. We did Silvermoon in Barbados, while it was wonderful, it was nothing hands on.

Rare crewsweeper Posted February 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2010 There's America cup Racing in both St Thomas and St Maarten. http://stmaartencruiseexcursions.com/StMaartenAmericasCup.htm Also in St Thomas is On Deck Racing where you crew and do a little more hands on sailing in a Farr 65' sloop. http://www.adventurecenters.net/index_files/toursonthewater.htm#ondeck
waterbugohio Posted February 6, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted February 6, 2010 thanks for the links, this might just be what I needed to get him to book again. Friends from cc are booked on the Serenade for the third time straight this November. He is holding back as he wants to do something different.
