Just wanted to let you guys know that a man died while doing the parasiling and he was on our cruise Carnival Imagination. We sailed from 02/01 to 02/05.

A very tragic incident and sorry scene to see family crying on the streets of cozumel.

Will update you soon, I have first hand information.

Not exactly the only source where I would expect to find this information. Again, odd.

Guys Its true. I was there. Give me some time, I have pictures of that location.

We were the first one to inform Carnival and the family of the deceased.

I never said I doubted you. Only that the lack of information is odd.

How were you first to inform the family, tripadvisor said his family was on the boat?

Family was not on the boat. Only his 1 daughter (middle) and his friend were on the boat.

Family of deceased (wife + 2 kids) were waiting on ferry pier.

Family of friend (wife + 2 kids) were also waiting on the pier.

No we didn't inform the police as the police and medic were informed from the boat itself.

Incident happened at around 5:00 and Carnival reacted at 7:30 PM. We informed on the emergency number given on Carnival Capers. Carnival Imagination security team acknowledge that there local agent(emergency no on Capers is of this agent) goofed up in Cozumel.

A real tragic story. My heart goes out to the family.

I am going to cozumel in March and was thinking about para sailing. But i am nervous.

there is risk with anything. just like the ship getting hit by the wave. you never know when there will be a sudden accident and you can die. thousands of people para sail daily with no issues. you still have a bigger risk getting hit by a drunk driver on the way to the pier
