susanadels Posted February 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2010 Scheduled to go May 30,2010 with my two 8 1/2 year old children. Just watched a video on you tube and someone posted a video tour that they said was The Mariner and it had a rock climbing wall .I thought the Mariner of the Sea didn't have a rock climbing wall does it? It had a Johny Rockets and promenade, ice rink in the video so I think it was indeed the Mariner but I'm confused Also they showed a huge arcade that I'm sure they will want to be in constantly. Are there extra charges for the games and if so what are they and do I need to bring change for them or can it be charged to sea pass?
jmezmom Posted February 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2010 There is a rock wall on Mariner. The arcade is huge and has tons of games. You charge credits on your seapass card. The games are standard rates, not a rip off IMO.
susanadels Posted February 10, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted February 10, 2010 Do you need to make reservations for the climbing wall?
rummenroman Posted February 10, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2010 On the Monarch you could make reservations for the rock climbing wall, or you could stand in line (which wasn't very long). You need to have socks, RCCL supplies harness, shoes, and if requested a helmet. There is no additional charge for the wall.
Puffinater Posted February 10, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2010 Do you need to make reservations for the climbing wall? Reservations are not required. You will have to sign a waiver for the kids and they will punch a hole their cards. The waiver only has to be filled out one time. Same process for ice skating. Rare silentbob007 Posted February 10, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 10, 2010 You also must wear socks for the wall as you have to put on their climing shoes. You will probably need to set a limit on the arcade spending ... at $1-2 a pop for some games, you can run a up a game bill faster than a bar bill.
