Can someone explain the "cruise credit". First cruise in May, will earn 2 credits. Do you earn them to use towards a new cruise? on board credit?
Cruise credits are applied towards your membership level in the Crown & Anchor society, there is no direct value to them. The higher your membership level, the more benefits you get. You can check out the benefits at RCI's website, but basically there's not a lot until you reach Platinum level (5 cruise credits).

You earn a credit each time you cruise (2 credits if you cruise in a suite). When you obtain 5 cruise credits you achieve platinum status which entitles you to certain perks. After 10 cruise credits you achieve diamond which offers other perks.

The royal site explains it, here is the link:

You get one credit per completed cruise plus one extra if you stay in a suite and one extra if your cruise is 12 nights or longer. So if you take a 2 week cruise in a suite you get three, which is the max you can get under current rules.
