Fort lauderdale to Port of Miami

Can any one tell me how long it takes to get from the airport in Ft Lauderdale to the port in Miami? Is this a difficult drive to make by your self for a person who has never been to that area? Thanks so much

We'll be taking the drive in May and it's about a half hour. We have relatives in Miami and they told us the same thing. They said depending on when we arrive will depend on traffic conditions. Hope that helps a bit!

 

Just an FYI we rented a car from FLL and are dropping it off at the Miami International Airport the day of our cruise.

Depends on what and time of day. It's an easy shot out of Ft. Lauderdale to I -95 south to Miami. Normally and using a conservative time about 40 minutes. During work hours 8-9:30 am headin south can add a lot of time. Weekends should be pretty smooth traveling.

They have plenty of shuttle services that do that route.

30-45 Mins. Very easy route. Avis has a drop off location in Downtown Miami, about 5 minutes from the port, a 10 dollar cab ride. I rented a car in March for 26.00 + tax one way. and same thing on the return to FLL. Our flight doesnt leave until 8:50, so renting a car gives us a while day in MIA.

 

Its about $86.00 round trip including a cab to ship and back, and you can fit as many people as the car will hold. Also it gives you a whole day on the beach, or wherever you would like to go.
