ailuro Posted February 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2010 We were booked via FrontierAdventures, they have been in touch to say the ATV section of the tours will not be available this year. It was run in cooperation with Tlingit tours, ATVs were in Carcross. Can anyone suggest an alternative company for ATVing, our ports of call are... Ketchikan Juneau Skagway Prince Rupert TIA for any help.:D
Yukon Posted February 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2010 I just popped a note to the owner of Tlingit Tours to clarify that, as it seems very odd.
ailuro Posted February 10, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted February 10, 2010 I thought it strange too, but of course we realise the recession has been worldwide, and we know lots of smaller companies just haven't beaten the cashflow problems. Thanks for asking them,though...

ailuro Posted February 10, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted February 10, 2010 I had to Google Corinne, but now I know I'm keeping my fingers crossed that her and her family's business is still up and running, not just for us but for the rest of the tourism industry in Carcross. ailuro Posted February 11, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted February 11, 2010 Those little Karts are available through NCL, it won't let me sign in to my account at the moment ( NCL website is a bit 'off' in the mornings here!) but I'll certainly check it out as a fallback later today. Thank You.:)
ailuro Posted February 12, 2010 Author #8 Share Posted February 12, 2010 Calmom, we have checked out the tour you guys suggested, but it turns out it clashes with the drive your own boat tour we want to do when in Ketchikan, so we're back to looking elsewhere. Yukon Posted February 14, 2010 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2010 Yukon, thanks for confirming that for us. Hope they're all OK. They are - they've just moved on to other interests. Although I think it's unlikely, I'm checking around to see if anyone might be starting a similar operation.
Purpleprincess4 Posted March 23, 2010 #12 Share Posted March 23, 2010 Just found this posting. I am sorry to hear about the Carcross ATV's. My husband was really looking forward to the ATV's. Glad I looked further.
