water in checked luggage or have to carry it?

Leaving next week from Miami and taking some water and pop. Do I have to carry this on or can I put it in a suitcase and check it? We get on the ship pretty early and I do't want to carry it all over till the room is ready. Just wondering if anyone had any issues checking drinks lately. Thanks!

Considering some of the reports we've been getting from Miami I'd suggest carrying it on...

Most folks carry on their water, from what I hear...

Last October we sailed on the Conquest out of Galveston and were told by the porter that if we had an extra bag for our water, it would be much easier for everyone to just check it. We grabbed an empty duffle bag and filled it with our water and it went with our luggage. Very easy.

we always bring an empty duffle jik we find something large in port to buy;) guess it'll be our ticket for some water/soda, etc...as it appears the softsided rolling cooler ive used in the past (squarish type that holds a 24 pack or so) would probably draw attention to it's bad self with new rules:rolleyes:
