Is one allowed to take bags of snacks aboard the cruise ship when boarding?

Yes you can take anything that's sealed, snack-wise...like chips, pretzels, soda, granola bars...

I believe when boarding you can take anything ... sealed or not ... when it comes to snacks. Anything not sealed, however, cannot be then taken off the ship in port.

Also, anything open cannot be brought back into the US. So if you have a big box of Cheez-Its that're half consumed, you'll have to leave them onboard. If you have individual packets, you can bring unopened individual packets back.

 

Don't over-pack snacks. You'll find plenty onboard.
