Phone Calls

While we are on our cruise my mother will be home taking care of things...how will we call her from Costa Maya, Cozumel, Belize, Grand Cayman? Phone carsd? Cell phone? Whats the best way?

Phone cards from the US don't work in those places. You have to purchase calling cards from the island and then use them in their phones. Your cell phone, unless it's an international cell phone with GSM, won't work in those places either. You can rent an international cell phone, or you can use the ship's phone.

Ship's phone will be about $8 per minute, so not really an option. Most ports will have phones at the dock that will take credit cards for the calls.
