Cell Phone

Can anyone comment on the quality of cell phone reception on the Silver Shadow in the Caribbean? My service is Verizon. If the cell service is not reliable, I may rent a satellite phone for the week.

We were able to get coverage via Verizon in San Juan. No roaming charges there. Don't know about further east.

Silversea participates in the Wireless Maritime Services system. That allows you to use your Verizon cell phone on board (except usually not when in a port). You can get more info at the Cellular at Sea website. We had very good Verizon connectivity on Whisper on our Dubai to Athens cruise.
