Dominica Excursions?

I will be in Dominica on the HAL Veendam in April and have booked the "Whale and Dolphin Safari" excursion, but am not sure that I made the correct decision. Originally I had booked the "Champagne Snorkel" excursion, but a friend of mine said that he had enjoyed seeing the whales. I am open to input and perhaps other, even better, excursions offered for Dominica.
