Back To Back Question- Reboarding the ship

Okay I have searched several back to back threads and did not seem to find this question or answer. We are taking a B2B at the end of March on the Fascination. We do not want to lug everything on board the first round (soft drinks/water/etc.) to take up space so were thinking of going back to our car between departures to restock. Will we have time once we go through customs to run to our car and drop souvenirs/pick up new supplies before reboarding or do we have to get off the ship as a group and back on immediately? Please help as it will help me in the planning process!!

Thanks in advance. :)

When we did our B2B last year on the Destiny, we had plenty time. After debarkation, we were escorted off the ship to go through Customs. Then we were quickly back on & got our new S & S cards. We sat up on the Lido deck catching some rays while the new cruisers came on board.;)

Buffy2323,

You can disembark at any time as long as you are back on board prior to sail away. To avoid hassles of crowds, I would get off last and then reboard via VIP. (Even if you are not VIP, you can reboard via VIP just by telling them your plans for the second embarkation).

The best advice would be to lug it all on board the first time so you can relax and enjoy the ship to yourselves in between sailings. All you will need to do is be escorted to customs then be escorted back on board.

On our Triumph b2b we completed customs check in and were back on board ship in less than 30 minutes. After we received our new Sail & Sign cards, we were told we could leave the ship. We were told to re-board an hour and a half before sailing. The entire process was very easy and smooth.

Thanks for the info. everyone. It seemss to be conflicting. I really would like to go to my carr and drop off souvenirs so we can do self-debark on the second leg. Anyone with experience on the Fascination B2B out of Jacksonville?

When you sail back to back you will be receive a letter in your cabin telling you when and where to meet on the last day of the first cruise. You will be escorted off the ship, through customs and back on board. You will receive your new sign and sail card and have a new security photo taken for it. after you complete this procedure you can come and go as you like for the rest of the day just as if you were in any port call, so yes after you have your new sign and sail cards you can go out to your car and drop things off and bring on new supplies.

Another thing to consider in your planning is that you will receive any liquor purchases made in the ship's duty free shop on the last full day of the first sailing. This means you can stock up on any favorite beverages for the second cruise during the first.
