Coral Breeze Lunch on Caye Caulker or find Carlos?

We are taking the Caye Caulker tour with Coral Breezes in 2 weeks! and signed up for the lunch that goes with the tour. Do you know what restaurant they take you to? Is it good? I keep reading about Carlos and wonder if we should find him and do lunch on our own. Any information you can give me is appreciated!

The place for lunch on Caye Caulker is on the beach in a small motel/restaurant with great local food. It might be called the Tropical something ?

I don't think there is a Carlos & Charlies on Caye Caulker - yet.

Bill, Carlos is a single man who grills his fresh catch of the day on the beach up near the split. NOT Carlos & Charlies.

 

lah66 I suggest you do your own thing. If you don't want to look for Carlos, try some of these places.

Or there's Wish Willy's across fromt he dive shop by the split. Very laid back so service may be a bit slow depending upon your tour schedule, but good food. We like Carlos because it's there and you just eat what he's pulling off the grill. But this isn't for everyone.
