Caye Caulker - Snorkel or Beach

Her is what we just did http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1142719

There is not a beach like you think of with trees and chairs by the water. You can walk to the Split and swim. We loved Caye Caulker--it has a rustic backpacker feel to it, very friendly and relaxing, but if you are thinking of a lounge chair and someone to bring you drinks on the beach I'm not sure that Caye Caulker is what you want.

For us, yes we could book our snorkel tour on the spot.

I have not been to San Pedro but from talking to people you might want to stay on the taxi and continue to Ambergris Caye.
