La Bombonera

Started a thread with the wrong information. We are in San Juan from 7.00am till !.00pm. Would like to take the trolley to El Morro have a look round then make our way down the hill and round old San Juan. Stopping of at El Bombanero on the way. Finishing at the Rum Museum next to the Tourist Information.

Is this doable in the time we have.

Thanks

You are looking at a zig zag pattern of exploring but it will work.

I think you will still have enough time if you don't wait too long for the trolley or spend too much time at the fort/shopping/exploring.

Download a map of OSJ, so you know how to move around to hit your highlights.

Thanks for your help, we will do our best to see as much as we can, San Juan sounds lovely I just wish we had longer there.

El Morro doesn't open until 9 am (park hours), so as an alternative you could take your time walking up to the fort and having breakfast at La Bombonera on the way, to maximize the time you'll have for exploring. It's uphill, but it's a very pleasant walk and early in the morning it won't be hot. HTH!

Have breakfast at El Bombanero then do rest.

Thank you this sounds a good plan, how long do youthink the walk up would be?.

You can walk form El Bombanero to El Morro in around ten -fifteen minutes fairly easily. OSJ is a great walking town. We did the same route a few weeks ago.
