Which train station in Quebec City to which train station in Montreal?

I am getting ready to purchase our tickets from Quebec City to Montreal on the ViaRail site.

 

Which train station in Quebec City is closest to the pier? And if we are staying in Old Town in Montreal, which is the train station that we want to end up at?

In Quebec City- Gare du Palais (Translates as Palace Station) I didn't know there was a Palace there but it is right downtown. In Monteal, Central Station. Right in the very centre (or center for our American cousins) of the city. Enjoy both cities Quebec is like a bit of old France. Montreal is extremely cosmopolitain and both are exciting.
