BBigfoot613 Posted February 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2010 got our curiosity up now :D LOL mine too! But I do have an answer... YES, well probably. When it comes to checked bags almost anything goes. I'm a newbie flyer and have seen that the restrictions on checked bags are minimal. If it doesn't explode, could explode or is illegal to have then it's fairly safe to say it's ok.

If it is, add Irons and Alcohol among other things:)
Trplnckl Posted February 17, 2010 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2010 There are lists on the Carnival site that tells you what is not allowed. The air lines have lists on their sites as well.

marshhawk Posted February 17, 2010 #9 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Hair dryers are provided in the cabins. Save the space in your suitcase for something else.
kimrob93 Posted February 17, 2010 #10 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Hair dryers are provided in the cabins. Save the space in your suitcase for something else. All cruise ships do not provide hairdryers. I sailed on Fantasy in November and they were not provided there.

kr8z Posted February 17, 2010 #12 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Hair dryers are provided in the cabins. Save the space in your suitcase for something else. Their blow dryers are horrid though. Pack one if you have an insane amount of hair like I do. My curiosity is piqued as well.

All cruise ships do not provide hairdryers. I sailed on Fantasy in November and they were not provided there. From Carnival's site: Frequently Asked Questions Do I need to pack my hair dryer? A hair dryer is provided in the bathroom (Destiny, Triumph, Victory) or at the desk/vanity in the stateroom (Spirit, Pride, Legend, Conquest, Glory, Miracle, Valor, Liberty, Freedom, Splendor and Dream). Hair dryers are not provided in the staterooms of all other ships.

You'll have to think of something else to pay for those excursions... they DO have popcorn up on the Lido Deck of ships with Huge Screens to watch movies on...$1.00 a bag... unless of course, you're selling your bags cheaper!!! lol
Traveler353 Posted February 17, 2010 #17 Share Posted February 17, 2010 How about BBQ grills to cook up that fine catch of the day caught trolling off the aft of the lido deck? And what do most people use charcoal or gas?:p
cruisercrash Posted February 17, 2010 #18 Share Posted February 17, 2010 I'm taking my crock pot on my 2/21 Valor cruise! I can fit it in my luggage, and in the crock pot I can fit a six pack of beer. Can the machines see through the crock pot? We are having pot roast on formal night! restasured Posted February 17, 2010 #23 Share Posted February 17, 2010 I saw another post where they mentioned hair dryers, are they not allowed? Well on most ships. The Ecstasy does not have hair dryers and they are allowed in checked baggage.
