7nucruzers Posted February 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Can anyone tell me how safe the parking is at Red Hook terminal?? I went to their website and it says the have security. Also, it says the rates are $23 for the first day and 20 for each day after that - that's if I'm reading it correctly. Any advise?? Comments??? smeyer418 Posted February 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2010 its very safe fenced ,locked and guarded when there is no ship at the pier. I have never heard of a problem there. there is no alternative.
captbill Posted February 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2010 I've parked at Red Hook twice, for B2B cruises both times, so our car was left for 14 days each visit. I'm happy to report that the vehicle was exactly where I left it, and was not damaged in any way. I was sort of hoping somebody would wash it, but that didn't happen either! ;) Seriously, I'll park there again. No worries! :D
7nucruzers Posted February 17, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Thanks for the answers! Makes me feel better about leaving the car there. We are doing the Canada/New England cruise in August. My sister lives in NJ and we will all be leaving from her house - she wants to get a car service but right now it looks like parking at the terminal would be cheaper.
