Zihua Beaches - Waverunners?

We have always taken ship excursions, but I have been reading these boards and gotten good info so I think we will see Zihua on own. We will only be there until 1pm. We might like to rent wave runners - anyone done this or know where the best place to get them might be? Also, do the tenders dock within walking distance to a decent beach or do you have to go to a hotel and use theirs? Thanks - any help will be appreciated.
