Travel_Maven Posted February 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2010 At Budget Queen's suggestion, I am looking at alternative plans to get from Seward to Whittier on the morning of our cruise. A one way rental car is pricey. Does anyone know of a good shuttle service from Seward to Whittier? I've found one, Alaksa Transportation Group but I'd like some referrals if possible. Thanks a bunch!! :)
Ranger Posted February 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2010 PJs Taxi is another choice.
Alaskalovr Posted February 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2010 And if you use PJ's Taxi you may even be able to squeeze in a stop at Exit Glacier. One of the few "walk-up" glaciers in Alaska.
Travel_Maven Posted February 17, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Just FYI, I've been emailing with Tim from the Magic Bus. He has been outstanding!! Sooooo helpful! I highly recommend him! I think we have decided to take the train down to Seward, do the cruise and take the bus back to Anchorage. (bus gets back earlier than train) We considered spending the night in Seward (would really prefer that) but I haven't seen any shuttles from Seward to Whittier that I like. Then the next day we are taking the Magic Bus from Anchorage (with sightseeing stops along the way and he picks up at the hotel) to Whittier to do the PWS tour before we board our Princess Ship. Thanks everyone!
