a friend of mine's travel agent (different group than ours) was told that the men MUST wear a jacket to the formal dinner or they will be asked to go to the buffet Any recent Sensation cruisers witness this, or did they still have some in dining room without jackets

I wonder if this applies to teenages too

Sailed on her in October and did'nt witness anyone being turned away. The majority were wearing suit coat or tux though there were some w/ just shirt and tie. Kids were dressed much as the adults were. Not many were onboard at the time though.

MUST wear a jacket to the formal dinner

Must wear jackets to the formal dnner. That means they can take the coat off at dinner put it on the chair so it can slip off and trip the waitstaff.

And what about jacket buttons. How many and which ones should be buttoned, Or unbuttoned?

Didn't say anything about shirts or a tie or even trousers. What is this a nude cruise. Ladies only pearls men only jackets.
