I would think the payout is probably 80-85%

Guess it depends.

 

We find it is better early in the cruise then later in the week.

Sit by entrances, (all the tricks of the trade)

 

ok- I told me mom this for our first cruise and she won 2500 with in minutes of the casino opening the first day.

 

You really cant expect to win if you are playing a penny machine a penny at a time thought

My wife did pretty well on Valor. She would have won $10,000 if she would have played max credits(which we usually do). The last night they seemed tight. Over all she came out up $400.

Why should the machines in the casino be loose ? :confused:

Definitely tighter than land based...

and like they say...at times looser...

First night...they want winners so you can tell what you won and come back.

I also find the last night is a little looser....let a few folks win and tell so they go home with a good feeling...

 

DW and I have had three wins over $500 on various cruises.

 

Just got to have a little skill and a lot of luck.

No slots pay well. It's not in their programming. I haven't noticed any cruise slots being any tighter or looser than any land-based casino's slots.

Unlike land based casinos that have follow regulations about payouts, ocean casinos can do whatever they please. I would guess Carnival pays out about 75% compared to vegas 95+%.

 

Carnival orders it's machines with the the odds preprogrammed into a chip within the machine. The machine doesn't know if your leaving port or returning - any percieved change in payouts is all in your head. The odds are always the same.
