Avis one-way FLL to MIA ?

Hi,

 

Just wondering if anyone has information regarding Avis one-way rentals in FL?

 

(I've been on hold now with FLL Avis for 30 mins, yes I am impatient :eek: )

 

Anyway, I booked a rental car with Avis at FLL where we're flying in. We're staying in Miami the night before the cruise, and I would like to drop the car in Miami (at the closest location to POM; Miami Airport only if necessary) the following morning. Does anyone know if there is an additional charge for this with Avis? Their website, and so far customer service have been zero help.

We are doing the same thing next month. There is no additional charge for the one way rental but its more expensive if you drop off at the POM location as oppose to the airport location. So I am dropping the car off at MIA take a cab back to hotel and then take there free shuttle to the Port

Avis also has a downtown location - if there's not a shuttle to POM, a cab ride from there should only be about $10. Good luck!:)

I'm hoping that since this was a Priceline.com booking, they wont give me a hard time. I wont let it affect my vacation either way though. I've waited long enough for this trip!!!
