Smoking policy

Officer Onboard

Recommended Posts

We have been cruising on Regent for many Years and are looking to an alternative option, simply for experience. We are looking at Silversea but are concerned regarding the smoking policy. Am I correct in assuming smoking is permitted in cabins and on balconies? Being reformed smokers of many years we could not tolerate exhaled smoke from others. Regent has a strict policy as I believe does Oceania and Azamara. Seabourne does permit so not an option.

Any comments will be appreciated.

The Op should use the search tool.

When you do search, you will see that to the vast majority of Silversea past passengers it is not a problem.

There will always be 1 or 2 that have an issue, like on most cruiselines, but "most" non smokers on SS have stated they have never had a problem, in or out of the suite.

The anti smoking lobby/cruisers has and will target cruise lines just because smoking is permited full stop.

Even though smoking is permited on SS in restricted public area's most passengers don't have an issue.

Silversea passengers are a very respectful lot by and large.

Silversea handles the smoking issue very well.
