Currency on Islands (E Carib)

We are wondering what currency will be accepted at our ports of call - Nassau, St. Thomas & St. Martin. If we make any major purchases we will use c/c or t/c, but say for tipping, do we use US $? and on St. Thomas we want to use Godfrey - does he take $20 US cash for the tour? What currency should we have and should we be exchanging each time we dock at an island? TIA:confused:

Everyone takes dollars. Just be sure if you are using cash that you have small bills as some of the smaller venders will give you change in the local currency which will be worthless to you except as a sovenier.
