cruisdog Posted February 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2010 Anyone have any idea how much it is by taxi from Long Beach airport to Carnival cruise terminal? How far is it? Anyone with shuttle experience? Thanks
jasmith52 Posted February 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2010 The Jan 2010 "Destinations" magazine in my hotel room in San Pedro showed the following flat rate taxi fares from the Long Beach airport: $23 - most downtown LB hotels & LB Convention Center $30 - Queen Mary Hotel / Hotel Maya / Carnival Cruise Terminal $37 - Knotts Berry Farm $45 - Disneyland / Anaheim Convention Center $45 - San Pedro Cruise Terminal $55 - South Coast Plaza $60 - LAX / John Wayne airport $72 - Downtown Los Angeles
Rare PatriciaF Posted February 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2010 The fare finder on supershuttle.com has $28 each way for two people--you might as well have the convenience of a cab for $2 or so more.

cjtravel Posted May 10, 2010 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2010 The Jan 2010 "Destinations" magazine in my hotel room in San Pedro showed the following flat rate taxi fares from the Long Beach airport: $30 - Queen Mary Hotel / Hotel Maya / Carnival Cruise Terminal $72 - Downtown Los Angeles Can anyone confirm this? We will be there in about 3 weeks and have been looking at super shuttle, but for 2 dollars more this seems to be the better way to go. Rare PatriciaF Posted May 10, 2010 #6 Share Posted May 10, 2010 Here's the rate info from Long Beach Yellow Cab (888 529 3556). $2.85 for flag drop and first 1/7 of mile or 30 second wait. $.35 for each 1/7 of a mile to destination, and $.35 for each 47.5 wait time. With no wait time and no tip, it is $26.27, I used taxifarefinder.com that calculated 9.7 miles distance from the airport to the Queen Mary. I think SuperShuttle is about the same amount. For an extra few dollars, a cab may be much more convenient.

DDMau Posted May 11, 2010 #8 Share Posted May 11, 2010 Can anyone confirm this? We will be there in about 3 weeks and have been looking at super shuttle, but for 2 dollars more this seems to be the better way to go. Thanks A flat fee of $30.00 from Long Beach airport to the Queen Mary / Carnival We just did this April 22, 2010. Taxi is the faster way to go, you have to wait for the shuttle to fill up and they might make stops along the way. You get your luggage walk across the drive to the waiting taxi. Long Beach airport to San Pedro docks is a flat fee of $45.
DDMau Posted May 11, 2010 #9 Share Posted May 11, 2010 Long Beach Airport is the closest airport to Carnival cruise dock and it is about 10 miles or so from the port.
cjtravel Posted May 12, 2010 #10 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Thanks DDMau, We think we will go the way of a Taxi for the extra 2 dollars. This makes more sense to us.
