dmullinix Posted January 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2005 This will be our first cruise and we are very excited! I booked an Ocean View room and got the documents yesterday. Does anyone know what an 8 GTY is? I'm also curious if anyone has been in one of these rooms. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! --Dave
Tatka Posted January 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2005 This means that you are guaranteed to get cabin of 8th category(or higher) The problem with category 8th is that on Continental deck (#4) they are all ocean view (just different shape than others, which I liked). On Deck #5 some (or all) of them have portholes instead of windows. We have been in #4125 http://community.webshots.com/photo/87890932/87891086qgtosI I liked our L shaped cabin...It felt roomier than next cabin (category #7)Another difference was that bathroom was at the end of the cabin. You can see the door on the picture.
wovenwonder Posted February 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2006 Would there be room for a crib or rollaway in 4125? it looks like there might be by your picture. Also -- the bed in your picture of 4125 are separated. Is there plenty of room to put them together and still have a crib?
tuggers Posted February 4, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2006 I think I'm right about this (if not someone will be glad to correct me!) but in cabins where the beds are L shaped, they can not be used any other way.
