Shopping for a Cheap Digital Underwater Camera?

I did end up with the Canon D10 which the Amazon Santa delivered with free shipping. I used it on 6 snorkel trips over the past 2 weeks and to say that I am pleased with it would be an understatement. I would recommend purchasing a floating wrist strap for it though and it is a tad bulky to slip in a pocket....but for snorkeling pictures it is great.

The Amazon Santa delivered the D10 to us as well. Our cruise departs in 2 weeks. Did you do anything to the camera before using it (sealants, tape, etc)? We will only use it for snorkeling. Thanks.

All that I did was to put it in a basin of water and let it soak for a while to be sure that it water watertight. Be sure and put it in the "Underwater" mode and give it a good wash off in fresh water as soon as possible leaving the salt water. You can also brighten up the LED screen which makes it easier to see underwater and I set my distance a estimated 1.5 to 2.
