Diamond Princess Dry Dock

Does anyone know what changes they are planning to the Diamond Princess when it enters dry dock 21st Oct 2010

I'm wondering too. I suppose they will get MUTS, but I wonder if they will get anything new and unique?:confused:

I believe they it will have the features found on the Crown Princess, eg, The Sanctuary, Crown Grill, The Piazza, International Cafe, MUTS, etc.

I just received the Princess 2011 Alaska brochure and it has the updated layout of the Diamond Princess which includes the changes that will be made during dry dock.

 

The features include:

- The Sanctuary

- MUTS

- Lotus Spa

- Flexible Anytime Dining / Classic Traditional Dining

- Sabatini's

- Sterling Steakhouse

- ScholarsShip Sea courses

- Original production shows

- 3 Freshwater pools

- Gym & Fitness center

- Skywalkers Nightclub

- Club Fusion

- Bars & lounges

- Art Auctions

- Casino

 

 

There is no mention of Vines or the International Cafe as there is on Golden Princess.

Our group will be onboard on the 5th December on the repositioning cruise from Singapore to Sydney...I thought the ship still looked fantastic last year...but am looking forward to seeing what else they do to her.

We are spending 35 days on the Diamond early next year and will be really disappointed if they do not add the International Cafe. We were on the Crown recently and really liked the IC!
