Carnival Fantasy and the Mobile Boat Show 2/27/2010

We live in Pensacola, FL, and we decided to go to the Mobile Boat Show today. We are booked on the Carnival Fantasy on April 29, 2010. I was excited to see the Fantasy as we headed west and crossed the causeway going into Mobile. We exited the tunnel and there she was! We have been on five Carnival cruises, and I still get excited when we see the ships. We enjoyed the boat show, and there was a Coast Guard sea rescue exercise at 2:00 p.m. The Fantasy was very close to the exercise and the convention center. I could only imagine what some of the passengers might be thinking as they witnessed this helicopter hovering to pick up a "body" (the dummy's name is Oscar) out of the frigid water. However, there was a live rescue diver who executed the rescue. Kudos to our U.S. Coast Guard.
