brzymom Posted February 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2010 Hey Cruisers: My son and his friends are going on the Nirwegian Gem, and it has a day in Nassau. We cruised there a few times years ago, and you were able to walk into town and take a water taxi over to Paradise Island and use the beaches in front of the hotels there with no problem (Brittania perhaps?). Are you still able to do that? These are poor college students, looking to just enjoy the beach rather than pricey shore excursions. Thanks for any help!! They can still take the water taxi (or cab) over to Paradise Island, and enter at the public walkway next to the RUI and enjoy Cabbage Beach. They can rent chairs if they want, or just put down a towel. You can't use the beaches in front of hotels any longer. BTW.. the Brittania Towers is now part of Atlantis. A little frayed, but still standing. There are no restrooms or any other amenities.. and you can't use the restrooms at the hotels.
