LARGIN Posted March 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2010 Specialty restaurants are upscale casual even on formal nights. He will fit in with what he intends to wear. I wore black slacks, white shirt and black sweater on formal nights in both Sabatini's and the Crown Grill with no problem on our last cruise on the Ruby. I plan on doing the same on our upcoming Alaska cruise on the Golden..

1 HappyCruiser Posted March 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2010 Even just a long sleeve dress shirt would be acceptable. The Princess guidelines indicate casual all the time in the Specialty restaurants.

mnbruce Posted March 2, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2010 Where does it say casual all the time in specialty restaurants right here in the Princess FAQ answer place; "Casual Dining Venues When a casual mood calls, you have plenty of choices – even on formal nights. Whether it be one of our specialty restaurants, the 24-hour buffet at the Horizon Court, the pizzeria, burger & hot dog grill, or 24-hour room service, you’re able to choose how you dine with us."
