Bridge Maven Posted March 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2010 In case you don't know, effective today JFK's largest runway is closed for the next four months for repaving. Consequently, during this period they are expecting longer delays for both take off and landing.

Wine-O Posted March 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2010 I avoid JFK like the plague and fly out of Newark Liberty, Atlantic City, or Philadelphia. I've sat on JFK runways for hours even before they closed for repairs.

Glad they closed the runway so you quit doing that - don't take up that habit in other airports......gets very messy cleaning up the landing gear!
