Why Is The Sumit In Miami Today

At approximately 1:45PM TODAY, The Sumit sailed into Miami - anyone know why?

She's scheduled for drydock this week.

You know no matter what you think of the blue, red and gold paint job it is kind of sad to know this is the last we will see of it. I saved a pic of her from the Miami Wachovia webcam just for old time sake.

Actually my parents got off the summit this morning and said that it is hosting some type of society benefit and then it is going to the bahamas where it is going to be dry docked. at least that is what they were told.

I just meant she was on the way to drydock.

It is the Shine On Miami charity event. One night cruise - sails back into Miami tomorrow, then heads to Bahamas for dry dock until February 3rd, when she will return to Ft. Lauderdale.

Yes, it is odd to see Summit in Miami. She had a 1 night sailing to nowhere as part of a Charity event, called Shine on Miami. Then, she will be doing her drydock over the next several days.

The Summit was in Port Everglades yesterday AM.

Just to add, the final period to this post. By the web cam you can see as of Monday, 1/24 she is in the Bahamas in drydock.
