LEtue Posted March 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2010 Hmmm, was looking at the NCL itineraries for 2011 and neither the Star or the Pearl interaries include any glaciers :( How can that be  How disappointing.....
Rare rjm11 Posted March 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2010 I don't know what you mean.... the itineraries listed are called "glacier bay" (Pearl) and "sawyer glacier" (Star) and both include a day of scenic sailing either in Glacier Bay (Pearl) or Tracy Arm/sawyer glacier (Star). where are you looking? NCL_Cruiser Posted March 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2010 I think the OP was referring to Glacier Bay being moved to above the Arctic Circle to help prevent its melting from global climate change, Sawyer Glacier being relocated to Icy Strait Point, and Mendenhall Glacier being purchased by the Chinese so they could have plenty of ice cubes for the next decade...:D No, OP...the glaciers are still part of the itinerary, but a full day isn't needed for viewing. LEtue Posted March 3, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted March 3, 2010 Thanks everyone! I went to the NCL site and found the full itineraries :) My on line TA site needs to be updated.....since they only listed "At Sea" for the Glacier Bay and Sawyer Glacier days.
