vvnh16a Posted March 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2010 During tranditional dining on Celebrity when we ordered a bottle of wine...had 2 glasses...the wine steward would cork the wine bottle and place it on the table for the following evening. Has anyone had experience as to how this would work with Select dining when you are no longer at the same table each evening???
Rare uktog Posted March 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2010 They had special areas they hold the bottles now with shelves to chill the white - bottles are held there against your room number, with your name being taken for cross reference. When you arrive at a table, you immediately tell the waiter you have a bottle and they get the sommelier who often looks over first, sees who you are and brings the right bottle over without having to ask your room number/name
FinelyCruising Posted March 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2010 This is correct. They handle this aspect extremely well. I could not have been more pleased.

boom_boom Posted March 8, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Like JohnthedOG, don't think DW and I have ever had a problem finishing a bottle with dinner. But, should that ever occur, now I know how to handle it!
