how to set iphone for web browsing?

How do I set my Iphone for web browsing while on my upcoming cruise,and not get charged

I would think you will have to pay in 1 of two ways:

- using your connection through the ships mobile phone link and pay data rates (not sure how high)

- disable your iphone from the cellular network and set it up to use the ships wireless network, for which you will need to pay access charges as if you were in the computer suite.

we set our (my husband and I) iphones to Airplane mode and bought the internet plan from Princess. In some ports we got a signal but on the ship...it was Princess internet or nothing.

On your iPhone:

 

Settings → Airplane Mode ON

 

Wi-Fi → Wi-Fi ON

 

A login screen will pop up → go through the login process → surf with Safari or open Mail to check/write email

 

Wi-Fi onboard is not free unless you have Platinum or Elite status, but it's much less expensive than cell service.

Also, in some ports you can get free wi-fi at cafés or even open air hotspots. HTH!
