Priceline - Orlando

I have never used priceline before. Has anyone used priceline for Orlando and checked on the resort option? If so, what resort did you get and what is a good price.

I used Priceline for Orlando in December 2003. I did request a resort and got Gaylord Palms for approximately $65. It was a beautiful property. My cousin who lives nearby could not believe the rate I got. She had friends coming in a few days after us and they were paying at least $200/night. There was a small resort fee added each night but I can't remember how much.

Whatever happens, do not book the Ramada "Resort" Eastgate. We were booked there by a vacation package after our cruise this past Sunday. What a dump, and if that was a resort, then I'm Mickey Mouse.

I did Priceline in Oct. 2003 for Orlando for a 3* hotel and I received the Hotel Royal Plaza for $40. Was quite pleased with this hotel because while it is not owned by Disney it is located on Disney property.

We got the Marriott Hotel which is not in tHe Marriott chain and is a old dump but called Priceline from hotel and transfered us to the Doubletree which was much nicer. Redcat
