TAXI fare LAX to Port of Los Angeles, San Pedro?

Help...anyone know the approximate fare. Four of us travelling from LAX to pier for a coastal cruise in May. We have a quote from a private shuttle service of $52.00 for four adults..private ride, not shared service. Is this a good rate? I know it is less expensive than supershuttle, but was hoping to get some input from the boards regarding a cab fare. Thanks so much!

Very good rate at$52 for four people. Shared rates run about about the same or a few dollars more. If staying at St pedro overnight , check out Sheraton or Best Western sunrise they both provide free shuttles to the ship.:)

Decent for private ride from LAX to San Pedro. 4 travellers plus luggage won't fit into a regular sized taxi and the van taxis cost more. I say go for it! Happy Sailing!
