Three to a cabin on the Jade

Can't tell what "comfortably" means to you...but....

Inside and ocean view cabins for three will have two twin beds and a wall mounted "bunk" bed that swings down. Those for 4 will have an additional trundle bed under one of the twins, that when placed normally between the two twins will make it wall-to-wall bed.

Balconies for three will have two twins normally put together to make a queen sized bed and an additional small couch that slides out sort of like a futon for one. Makes like a hospital sleeping chair, and just about as comfortable.

Mini suites for three will be like a balcony with more floor space and a bigger, loveseat sized, convertibe sofa, a curtain to separate the bed from the balcony and a tub versus just a shower.

In my opinion, for what its worth, these cabins for 3 or 4 are really meant for a family with kids versus 3 or 4 adults.

Then you jump to suites...I'll let someone else describe these.

  • 2 months later...

We did three adults in a balcony on the Jade in March. It was tight but we made it work. I was travelling with DF & DH. Both DH and I got the spa pass and we did take many of our showers there so we could have more room (of course I did the same thing when I was on the Jewel and only 2 of us in a cabin). When the sofa is pulled out there is not much room to walk around. Make sure that the person that has the sofabed is nimble. The balcony comes in handy - makes it easier to place someone when you are getting ready.

The storage, as long as you do not overpack is ok. I did all the unpacking b/c DF & DH just are not very good at organizing small, tight spaces. Also, really, really helps if you keep the clutter to a minimum.

We had three adults (56+) in a minisuite on the Gem. Plenty of room for all of us, both storage wise and bedwise. (We took DH's sister with us.) Curtain came in handy for dressing privacy.
