amwatsik Posted May 28, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2004 I am saving for a June 2005 cruise out of Bayonee (grew up there; still have Mom there) Apparently RCCL has not posted the June 2005 sailing date from there yet. I am anxiously awaiting!!! We will be family of 4 (2 children 9 and 6) I am anxiously awaiting your next info post. Have a good trip. PS What should I plan on paying for deck 6 Outside/Balcony? I know that's a broad question
serene56 Posted May 28, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2004 Thats a VERY broad question. I think the VOyager is headed to Bermuda in 2005 from Bayonne. They are still working out details I guess. You should see prices somewhat in July or August. NY is a very high price port. Go look and see what cruises cost for that area now. Can figure about the same amount. jonsmom Posted May 28, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2004 I too am waiting for 2005 sailings out of Bayonne. Let's hope they set up the itinerary/sailings soon. I would have no idea what to expect for pricing. Sailings for this year started out cheap and became VERY expenisve. I am hoping to get a jump on it early this time. In any event, I have a cruise booked with NCL out of NYC. amwatsik Posted May 28, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted May 28, 2004 I am hoping the 2005 Voyager schedule keeps it's current 9 day Caribbean trip from Bayonne serene 56. I have been to Bermuda and have no desire to cruise back there. I have been intouch directly withe the RCCL 800# and the person that helped was also a bit suprised that the sailing schedule for June 2005 was not out yet. Will let you know what I hear. thank you for input
just4kixx Posted May 28, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 28, 2004 Personally, I'm hoping they are out before my sailing on the Rhapsody 6/20! I'm hoping to book for next year, and that port of departure is one of my first choices. Think they'll be out by then? BigDawgRonAZ Posted May 30, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 30, 2004 I'm also waiting for the release of Voyager's 2005 sailing dates and itineraries. Reading the news article, looks like Voyager is sailing a 5-day trip to Bermuda, leaving it with a 9-day sailing to somewhere. I'm assuming it will be a western carribean itinerary as its doing this summer. Has anyone heard for certain when the dates will be released??? Host Kewlguy Posted May 30, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 30, 2004 I just hope the empress continues to go to Bermuda for 6+8 days. I hate going into Bermuda for one night. It's a real bummer. Otherwise I will have to take the zenith out of NY.
Treacher1 Posted May 30, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 30, 2004 AGREE - dont want a 5 day to BERMUDA hope Empress continues with 8 day, but find it hard to think that RCI would have 3 ships to Bermuda plus 2 from Celebrity?? Hope they make up mind soon and let us know - I want to book while onboard Voyager for ship board credit. If anyone hears anything please post. thanks
Host Kewlguy Posted June 2, 2004 #9 Share Posted June 2, 2004 Well, as a last resort we would go with Celebrity for an extended Bermuda visit if the Empress stops going there next year.
Joe1690 Posted June 2, 2004 #10 Share Posted June 2, 2004 Well, I don't believe the empress will be going to bermuda next year (2005) since a recent travel agent weekly issue said that both of the Grandeur and Voyager will be visiting as will the Horizon and Zenith on their regular itineraries. Also it said the Empress of the seas which currently does bermuda runs instead of mentioning the empress as doing it in 2005 as well. So it appears RCCL will redeploy the empress to another location.
