Jewel Lobster Night

Are the menus set to have the same "Lobster" night from week to week. We are going in two weeks and want to know what is the traditional "Lobster" night. This way, we can pre-book our reservations at the Specialty restaurants as to not miss the Lobster.

First sea day you will have a nice offering of lobster/mahi in the main dining rooms.

Two, maybe three big things to consider.

1 - Lobster night might could change.

2 - Your mood might change as to where or what you want to eat

3 - Lobster on a cruise ship is not quite the big deal you might expect.

Okay, part 3b - The poster is from the great Northwest and might be used to really good seafood. Be careful.

It's usually on the second night...but please note the lobster is not cold water lobster from Maine or Nova Scotia, it is half a rock lobster tail served with other fish...typically mahi mahi. We no longer order it, as it can't compare to the type of lobster we're used to eating.

It is rubbery and bland tasting, not something to plan an evening around. And do not order the "shrimp cocktail" in the regular dining rooms- it wouldn't be attractive bait. There are good things on the menu, the chicken cordon bleu is pretty good, but the "special" things like lobster are not good. Some people like the shrimp and lobster offered in Cagney's. The lobster there is $10 over the normal upcharge. Food is good on NCL, but not great. ;)

We were on the Jewel Repo Oct. 09..They lobsters were small. I asked for 2 w/ no other fish and he brought them no problem....needed to drown them in butter, but I survived!!! Plenty of other choices for sure and the "anytime menu" always available. No one goes away from a dining room hungry....

Have fun :-)
