Making "stops" with SAS

We're a group of 5 using SAS to go FLL to POM next Sunday (YAY!!!). Has anyone ever asked them to make a stop? I was thinking about getting a few bottles of wine to bring onboard and cannot afford the weight in my luggage. Do you think they would be willing to stop at a liquor store (for a nice tip, of course :p)

call or email and ask. I have a friend that says they stop at a Publix everytime they use them.

IF you're the only party in the van, yes. AND if the driver isn't on a tight schedule.

However if you are sharing a van with others, no, unless those riders say it's okay.

I beleve I am on same cruise as you, and we are flying into Ft Lauderdale and using SAS. I already contacted them and they agreed to stop for us along the way. What time does your flight arrive we might be on same bus?

 

I plan on doing the same thing with wine. I will probably get 6 to 8 bottles to bring on board.

If the driver says they cannot stop when you contact them email me at dreamalittledream41180@hotmail.com and i should be able to grab a bottle or two if you tell me specific kind. Could meet you at port or on ship and exchange the bottles (with receit of course). I am picky about my wine so i understand prefering to bring your own.:cool:

Thanks for the offer! I'm going to email SAS today. We're landing at 10:50 in FLL so hopefully our flight's on time so we're not super rushed.

Just to finish up my thread- I wanted to post that I emailed SAS. They said it's no problem to stop at a Liquor store before the port and that they do it all the time :)

Glad they were able to accomodate you........unless upgrade to owners suite courtesy of upsell fairy (you never know :p), my DH and I will be poolside on deck 13 or 14 near sky high bar enjoying a glass of wine whenever the sun is shining. See you on the cruise:D
