Mariner of the Seas - 9690 or 9692 (9390 or 9392)

First time on RCI this summer. I've read everything available on these aft cabins, but have a specific question with respect to the single door on 9690 (or starboard 9390). We like to sleep with the door open at night, but it would appear that there is probably no way to prop this door open a reasonable amount for sleeping purposes. We were going to bring a bungee cord to tie the door open when we wanted during the day, but I think that might be too much breeze at night if we kept it all the way open. Perhaps not though as this will be a summer sailing to Mexico. Would a better choice be the 9692/9392 cabin with the sliding door?

To clarify, we don't mind the porthole (it provides another sitting area in the room), don't mind the beam, LOVE the sun, and don't mind the additional breeze effect from the corner units. Any and all responses are appreciated. Need to make a change soon if we are going to do it. Thanks.
