Is there an a la carte charge for Room Service?

I just booked the MSC Magnifica and did a little googling on it... saw a room service menu with charges (3 euros for salads plus 15% gratuity). Is this an MSC thing? Never paid (other than tip, of course) for room service food.

 

Any info appreciated!

They do things very differently in the Caribbean. There were no charges for ordering food before 12 midnight. I think there may have been s charge after that, but it was not for what you ordered, just for the room service.

yes- the room service menu in Europe is a la carte.

The only exception is continental breakfast which is free.

that looks like a very limited menu. This is our first cruise so I am used to nothing. But I understand on american lines the roomservice is for free? Is it also more elaborate menu?

Room service in our Caribbean sailing on the Poesia was free -- Definitely not a lot to choose from though. Though, everything we tried was good. DH loved the tuna sandwich.

So did we. It was not canned tuna ...but fresh tuna. And wasn't it good to have potato chips..... they were good!
