cruiseco Posted March 19, 2010 #26 Share Posted March 19, 2010 CSA denied the claim a year after I filed it stating they had no medical or accicent forms from RCCL . Were they right, you didn't have any documentation from the ship's doctor for the treatment received? Nothing showing what happened? Even after a year of letting you get the info? I wouldn't pay that claim either.
Host Caroline Posted March 19, 2010 #27 Share Posted March 19, 2010 I've never heard of major issues with CSA: that being said I agree with the above post, i.e. if you wait a year to file a claim and haven't got documentation, no insurance company (auto, home, health) will pay it. Have used ship MD's several times in years of cruising and they always have furnished ample documentation to get repaid by either my insurance or travel insurance company. Chat Noir Posted March 19, 2010 Author #28 Share Posted March 19, 2010 I would not have disembarked without ample documention, myself. The Medical Center provided me pages of documention!!! No problem with that at all on Princess. I will likely fax, and mail, too. Thanks everyone! The sooner it's settled, the sooner I can book again! Looking forward to a fun healthy cruise this time around.
