CruizinMom2c Posted March 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2010 Yes.....those drills were not fun with trying to get those lifejackets on a wiggling toddler for just a few moments.
Calker Posted March 18, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2010 thanks for the memories - the smell, the jostling from everyone having to take a step backward, being hot and sweaty, not being allowed to bring along anything to drink, being grossed out by kids who would play with the whistles (how many other mouths had done the same thing on previous cruises), standing for 15 minutes with kids crying because they want to sit down, adults already drunk - stepping on kids who did sit down, crying kids, etc, etc. etc.
luc122 Posted March 18, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 18, 2010 Love it! After our first cruise with the kids, our Christmas card was of the 3 of them (12,11,9) in lifejackets during the muster drill.
jimjamxx Posted March 18, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2010 How about this muster drill(life boat drill) from the Carnival Celebration. August 1997. Notice the folks in the pool, and on the upper deck. This was way before Carnival required (made) everyone participate. I know some in our group just stayed in a bar. Disclaimer: I did not take this picture, at least I don't think I did. Probably somebody else in our group did. That is my story and YES, I am sticking to it; JimmyJames

ILUVCRUZEN Posted March 18, 2010 #19 Share Posted March 18, 2010 The life jackets always felt like they were choking me. I'm glad we dont have to bring them. Going back to the cabin to get them was a hassle too.
