Cerinda Posted March 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2010 Leaving for San Diego in a matter of hours. Recent Oo cruisers, please help! The gym: Were yoga and Pilates classes offered? Are there yoga mats, straps, blankets, and a place to practice generally available? Can you check them out to your cabin? Is there a Pilates Reformer in the gym? Is it available to everyone, or do you have to sign up for private lessons? The Promenade: How many laps to the mile? The spa: Is there a particularly good massage therapist onboard? When is ice cream available in the afternoon in the Lido? Are there other treats there, too? Can you still order dinner from the MDR menu through room service? What are your favorite room service items? I can't have the BLT EVERY day! Is the Ocean Bar the only place for before- and after-dinner dancing? Three piece band? Five piece? How big is the dance floor? Waltz / rhumba / foxtrot? Salsa / Cha-cha? Swing? Was it crowded? Thanks. Can't wait!
Krazy Kruizers Posted March 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2010 Leaving for San Diego in a matter of hours. Recent Oo cruisers, please help! The gym: Were yoga and Pilates classes offered? Yes -- either $11 or $12 per class. You have to sign up for these. Are there yoga mats, straps, blankets, and a place to practice generally available? No -- only during class times. Can you check them out to your cabin? No Is there a Pilates Reformer in the gym? Is it available to everyone, or do you have to sign up for private lessons? Don't know. The Promenade: How many laps to the mile? 3 The spa: Is there a particularly good massage therapist onboard? When is ice cream available in the afternoon in the Lido? Are there other treats there, too? 11:30 - 4:30 or 5 when it closes for a short time to get ready for the buffet dinner. Can you still order dinner from the MDR menu through room service? Yes -- order within the first hour of the dining room opening. What are your favorite room service items? I can't have the BLT EVERY day! We don't order room service for lunch or dinner -- but there are lots of good stuff on the menu. Is the Ocean Bar the only place for before- and after-dinner dancing? Three piece band? Five piece? How big is the dance floor? Waltz / rhumba / foxtrot? Salsa / Cha-cha? Swing? Was it crowded? On our recent Zuiderdam cruises the music didn't start until 7 PM so for those who eat early, no pre-dinner music. Once the 3 piece group played -- not much variety -- no waltz, foxtrot, rhumba, etc. Not crowded. Thanks. Can't wait! Bon Voyage -- have a great cruise.
