we are on the spirit on the 14/4/2010 we havent been with thompsons before so any advice would be welcome its the pharaohs and promised land would we be better taking different currencys or get it on board also some of the excursions are very long can you get local short ones in the ports we found on previos crusies advice helped a lot thanks ben

You will find 2 threads lower down the page titled Pharaoh's and the Promised Land. Both have lots of info and tips from people who have been before.

 

As for money, get it at home before you go. M & S, Post Office etc. The rates are much better than aboard ship.

We only took euros and a few Egyptian pounds we already had from a previous holiday and that was all we needed......euros are accepted everywhere but Egyptians will accept sterling and dollars as well.
